i just installed fofr v0.9 and when i added the songs, all i could see in the playlist view is black. I can still play the songs i just cant see them at all
can somebody help

i have:
foobar v0.9.5.5
fofr v0.9
pui v13.7+

So ive been using foobar for quite some time, just heard about fofr and was excited as i was getting really bored with the look of foobar, i got everything installed and configured and to my dismay it doesnt work at all with the latest foobar version.

I was very discrened by seeing that the people behind foobar and becoming very dishonorable and their actions seem deplorable, their driving away people and developers and they dont seem to care.

Frankly i dont htink they deserve anyones paitronage anymore.

Regardless, foobar remains the fastest and most stable player around so untill i find a worthy replacement im stuck with it, which brings me to my actual question, will fofr be made compatible with the latest versions of foobar or is this dead tech?

hi, i posted a list of version incompatibilities to the comments of to http://www.fooblog2000.com/2007-06/fofr-version-09 but it seems to have disappeared...

anyway, i have found that you can use
foobar core 0.9.4.5 and foo_ui_columns-0.2_beta_1.7z (anything 0.3 or later doesnt seem to work)

i think everything else works... but use the included cwb_hooks instead of whatever new version you find out there...

i found it out there somewhere, but i could mail you it too.

i'm presently wondering how to change the font sizes in the SCPL without screwing up the layout...

I just reformatted and lost my awesome setup I had using FofR Config :(

I downloaded v0.9.4 of foobar from oldversion.com, but I cant find an old version of foo_columns_ui that will work with that version of foobar. Can anyone help me out?

It seems there are significant changes in foobar2000 0.9.5.3 and higher.

The last version of the Panels UI component was released on 2007-07-18. For reasons that have already been explained, foobar2000 0.9.5.3 introduced changes that make most Panels UI configurations no longer function correctly.

Hi all,

I looked through the addons listed on this site and didn't see this feature anywhere. Is it possible to bind keys to change tracks while an application (a game run through Steam in my particular case) is running? Alt+tabbing out to do so is a pain, and also causes glitches in the game and so isn't feasible.

It's my first post, so I'd also like to say that I've been using a basic foobar setup for some time now and think it's a really great program. Thanks for all the time put into creating it.

Foobar isn't detecting the backgrounds folder. Here is how I have it as:
C:\Program Files\foobar2000\PanelsUI\FofR Foobar Code Release v0.7\images\backgrounds\(1.jpg, 2.jpg, and 3.jpg are in here)

Am I doing something wrong?

I installed the lastest version but I don't see the control commands (next, back, stop, etc). Either I installed the PanelsUI or Fofr wrong. I read the guides and it's still very complicated.

Yes, I was wondering for this function too. In foo_ui_std it is normally possible (first highlight songs you want move and then move with them), but in FofR it is not function. I really miss it!

I was wondering if there is a way to manually sort and rearrange my play list. I keep trying to, and it won't let me. It just highlights the songs. The playlist sorting presets don't help me do what I want to do, either. :(

Hi there,

I've been using foobar for a while now and only now am delving into customization.. A friend showed me FOFR and, well, I was blown away. I decided to attempt to set it up myself..... to no avail. I tried to set up a different configuration pack (just a minimalist one, can't remember the name) but.. well.. here's my problem.

I get all of the prerequisites installed, foobar isn't complaining about any of them.

Then I load up preferences, mosey on over to the Panels UI node, and see if my new theme is properly in the dropdown menu.. it isn't. In fact, if I click the dropdown menu button, the list is completely empty. The only thing available is 'default.pui' - but it's not in the list, it's just in the selected area. If that makes sense.

So, I hrm to myself and click edit layout. Ooh, an import button - this must be what the fofr config directions were talking about. I click it. Navigate to the fofr pui file. Open it.

Nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. No error messages, nothing changes on my screen, absolutely nothing happens at all. Nothing new in any dropdown menus. None of the code changes. I make sure Panels UI is selected as my display plugin. Restart foobar.

No dice.

Anyone help? Please? :)

Win2k, with the gdi+ dll installed. Latest versions (as of five minutes ago) of everything.

Hi!

I would like to add at the bottom of the "Now Playing" tab a fixed line (that doesn't move with the scrollbar) that display the number of track "queued" and the total play time for these tracks.

Anyone can help me out with this ?

You'll want to change it from
$puts(artistPath,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,artist.*))
to
$puts(artistPath,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,../folder.jpg))

Any particular reason why you are storing this in a variable instead of using it directly to create the image? (I'm assuming you're using Track Display panel.) Like this:
$imageabs2(x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,../folder.jpg),x)
(x's being the positioning, cropping info, etc)

Also, why do the regular Keyboard Shortcuts not apply to FofR (and why can't I find the Keyboard Shortcuts and change them in FofR)? Also, whenever the FofR screen is "up" (even when not selected directly, and when I'm using Firefox over it), the skip ahead/behind (the arrow keys) still apply! So when I'm typing something on a forum and using the arrow keys, it will skip ahead or backwards!

In regular Foobar2000 it would show the "Artist Name - Album Name - Track Name". With Fofr it only shows the artist name and track name. Furthermore, the link showing how to manually turn off global transparency does not seem to work (it links to a website stating the name of the image file, but nothing else).

man this is impossible to do

u have to have an if/then statement, so x10s's way of putting many 'if's and 1 'then' does not work, u seem to have to put a 'then' statement for each 'if'.

and repeating fofr's code with different ratings does not work either because it simply puts another star over the previous one.

u really have to try this for it to make any sense...

as long as i can't use any kind of 'equal' statement, then this cannot be done

anyway, fofr, or someone else equally proficient with coding, how r we to add our own images to ratings? i give up

I love this config. Only one issue I have with it is I'm used to browsing with foo_browser. I can create its own tab, but that only give me one browser panel which defeats the purpose. How would I create a browser panel pane that is sorted vertically like this in the sidebar?

Hi. The fonts in this mess up my Korean text. They previously worked in column UI. Can this be fixed?

The Korean text in the properties dialog is what what should be showing up in the playlist for the highlighted song.

I store my music in the following folder structure Genre>Artist>Album

Within my artist folder i store a picture of the artist named 'folder.jpg'

The global user path by default is:
$puts(artistPath,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,artist.*))

What do i need to change for it to seek up a directory for my artist image (folder.jpg)?

Hi, I'm a hardcore winamp user, and recently tried foobar because of the nice looks with Fofr and PanelsUI. Anyway, I'm really confused with the program, and I can't find my way around. I would really like for Foobar to have a media library just like winamp (or iTunes). Can anyone show me how to do that?

Hi,

I have my albums sorted on album list sort this way: Artist| [date] Album.
Everything works as supposed to, except that when I use "send to new playlist", date isn't used. It's still sorted by album, but not by date. I don't know exactly what to do.
I'm using fotr 0.7.1.

Think you could make songs with a rating of 4 have their star a different color? Maybe a more reddish or orangeish color? If not, how can I go about editing that myself? I'd like to be able to differentiate between ratings of 1-3, 4, and 5.
